peterelsworth

I studied at the Cass Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design

at London Metropolitan University in London and the

Art Students League in New York. Major influences include

the British Op Art painter Bridget Riley and the late American

Minimalist Agnes Martin.

​

During the 1990s, while I was working as a graphic artist at

The New York Times, I showed at two of the late

Annie Herron’s galleries in New York: Black+Herron in Soho

and Eyewash in Williamsburg. More recent venues include

Atelier Newport Gallery and Spring Bull Gallery in Newport,

the Jamestown Art Center and the Conanicut Island

Art Association.
